3 SMS Text Messaging Policy

This section describes our SMS messaging practices in full, in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CTIA Messaging Principles, and A2P 10DLC carrier requirements.

By checking the SMS consent checkbox on our webinar registration form, you expressly consent to receive SMS text messages from JohnSchuurman.com at the mobile phone number you provided. You are not required to consent to receive SMS messages as a condition of registering for or attending our webinar.

We send two types of SMS messages:

  • Non-marketing/transactional messages: Webinar registration confirmations, session reminders, date and time updates, and Zoom link delivery.
  • Marketing messages: Follow-up information about healthcare cost-saving options, special offers, and educational content related to our services โ€” only if you have opted in to marketing communications separately.

Message frequency varies. You may receive up to 4โ€“6 SMS messages per month, including registration confirmation, session reminders, follow-ups, and periodic educational content. We will never send excessive or spam messages.

Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates charged by your mobile carrier may apply to SMS messages you receive from us. JohnSchuurman.com does not charge any fee for our SMS messages themselves, but your carrier's standard rates apply.

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and will not receive further SMS messages unless you re-subscribe.

You may also opt out by contacting us at john@johnschuurman.com and requesting removal from our SMS list.

Supported carriers: Our SMS messaging service is available on all major US and Canadian carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Bell, Rogers, and Telus, among others. Carrier support may vary.

No sharing of phone numbers: Your mobile phone number will never be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. See Section 4 for full details on information sharing.

4 Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. Your information is never sold.

We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We use third-party tools to operate our website and communications, including GoHighLevel (CRM and SMS platform), Zoom (webinar delivery), and email service providers. These providers access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using it for other purposes.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any such change.

We do not share your information with our affiliated programs (such as the health sharing program we represent) without your explicit consent obtained at the time of the webinar or through a separate opt-in.

Our website and services are intended for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18.
